Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how and when I collect, use, and share information when you purchase an item from me, contact me, or otherwise use my services through Shopify or its related sites and services, through chickalinabambina.com, and delivery related services.
INFORMATION I COLLECT
To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorised Shopify & chickalinabambina.com to provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, the details of the product that you’re ordering, and other requested information as required. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information or instructions (for a custom order, for example), if you contact me directly.
WHY I NEED YOUR INFORMATION AND HOW I USE IT
I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:
• as needed to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfil your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support;
• when you have provided your affirmative consent, which you may revoke at any time, such as by signing up for my mailing list, or voluntarily participating in feedback surveys;
• if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law; and
• as necessary for the purpose of legitimate business interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as: 1) providing and improving my services. I use your information to provide the services you requested and in order to improve my services; and 2) Compliance with Shopify Policies and Terms of Use. I use your information as necessary to comply with my obligations under Shopify Policies and Terms of Use.
INFORMATION SHARING AND DISCLOSURE
Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information for very limited business reasons, only as reasonably necessary, and in limited circumstances, as follows:
• Shopify. I share information with Shopify as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under both the Shopify Policies and Terms of Use.
• Service providers. I engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to my shop, such as delivery companies. I will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.
• Business transfers. If I sell or merge my business, I may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law. Historical business information stays with the business when changing hands.
• Compliance with laws. I may collect, use, retain, and share your information if I have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce my agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of my customers, or others.
DATA RETENTION
I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. For legal reasons, various government departments may require businesses to retain certain data for up to seven years.
TRANSFERS OF PERSONAL INFORMATION OUTSIDE OF AUSTRALIA
I, including Shopify and chickalinabambina.com, may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in Australia, the US and other jurisdictions. As a result, your personal information may be transferred to, or shared with, another jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction. It is within both the seller and purchaser's best interests to understand the risks of online information transactions through their own personal research, before engaging in online transactions. It is within both party's interests and security to keep up to date with how these risks change and transform over time when deciding to continue or cease online information transactions.
YOUR RIGHTS
If you reside in certain territories, including Australia, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. I describe these rights below:
• Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information the business holds about you by contacting me using the contact information publicly available.
• Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. Except in exceptional circumstances (like where I am required to store data for legal reasons), I will generally delete your identifiable personal information upon request.
• Object. You can object to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your identifiable personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
• Complain. If you reside in Australia and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority. I only access the personal information you have provided to me for business and service related reasons.

Shipping & Delivery Policy
The time I need to prepare an order for shipping varies. For details, see individual items.
Estimated shipping times -
International:
Contact us before purchase for international postage quote and delivery timeframes.
Australia:
- For readily available items, orders are picked and packed within 2 business days.
- $5.00AUD shipping means postage costs "per single delivery package, per delivery address, per single order - not including custom orders or special orders". Smaller items will be packaged beautifully and sent in bubble envelope where safe and appropriate. This price is subject to change and will be advertised if adjusted.
- For custom orders and made-to-order items, please refer to notes listed on these items.
- Deliveries are dispatched on Mondays and Fridays, by Australia Post (in line with Australia Post policies and any public announcements by Australia Post). Please note dispatches are subject to, and may be delayed by, Australia Post, weather events and local and national public holidays, unfortunate or unforseen circumstances.
- I can direct orders to PO BOX addresses, however please ensure you have read and understand your own post box's delivery policies as it may impact the delivery. I can only dispatch the item once - if it is returned to sender due to unforseen circumstances, you will be notified. If the item is lost, stolen or delivered to the wrong address while in transit with the delivery provider, a case will be opened with the delivery company used and will be subject to their investigation, timeframe and policies. Please provide a safe address to have your order shipped. Please provide one perfectly specific and safe delivery address, to ensure your items are delivered correctly, with a great experience.
Please note that major weather-related issues or national/international events can affect delivery times and we will do our best to work with the times and seasons as these events occur.
All deliveries -
I'll do my best to meet shipping estimates, but can't guarantee them. Actual delivery time will depend on the shipping method used and external events that may occur outside of reasonable expectations.
If business or deliveries are ceased or interrupted for any reason, such as the business is closed for holiday, or for any legally-enforced reason, it will be clearly noted on the landing page of the Shopify/Chickalina Bambina website. In the event of personal holidays, the website may remain open for ordering with deliveries resuming upon return to the office, or ordering may be deactivated over this time until return.
Customs and import taxes
Buyers may be responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. We are not responsible for delays due to customs. When ordering custom items there can be unknown delays when ordering certain parts that make up items, delaying manufacture.
Bank Transfer Payment Method
Fulfillment process commences on receipt of completed bank transaction, in line with our shipping policy.
I gladly accept returns. I gladly replace items that do not do that which is described, or work in a reasonable manner.

I do not accept exchanges or cancellations for custom orders, or for corporate orders such as large events, or wholesale orders. But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

Conditions of return
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
